Hello Everyone,
We just got home from the ER. Jess has been feeling pretty well lately as the last chemo has wore off. She has just been tired on and off if she over does it. I think it has a lot to do with getting her strength built back up. We were at the track meet tonight and she was sitting beside me when she said, "Mom, I am getting a bad chest pain." Wow, that surprised me since she has been doing so well lately. By the time we got into my car and headed to Klamath she was in a full blown sweat and said that she was in a lot of pain. I was starting to get pretty scared by then and started to make a few calls. She got all stretched out in her seat and it started to ease up some, so I stopped at the house to get Pat and drop of Dixie (my dog). Then it started to get bad again, so we hurried. The ER, of course, was crazy since it was Friday night. I guess they got her in quickly to do an EKG and then we waited a few minutes to get her into a room. We told them about her medical history so that they would speed things up. Then they did blood work, heart monitor, chest xray, and fluids. Everything came back looking pretty good except her liver levels. The doctor came in and said that it might be her gall bladder. But it would be a few more hours to get it all checked out...then we could go home with meds and test tomorrow (Sat). Jess didn't want to do that since she and Jon live in Malin. I asked her after the doctor left and she said that the pain had been so bad that it scared her to leave and go that far without checking it out. Pat and I came home and Jon said that he would let us know. The doctor said that if it was bad she might have to have surgery to take it out....so, we will just wait and see. I will let you know what they find out. Please keep her in your prayers.
Love to all,
Cindi
