Hello Everyone!!
To those of you who don't know me today; it is my birthday!!! I was very excited about it since all I wanted is for Jess to be cancer free....guess what?? She is in remission!!!! It was a very amazing day!! :)
We drove to Portland on Tuesday night and Jess had an MRI and PET scans done. Then we met with the doctor today. Of course he was running a little late. The waiting room was full, and we were all nervous and sick to our stomachs, waiting....Finally we got called in and then of course he asked her all kinds of questions and gave her a check up before he let us know. I just wanted to shake him, lol. He was very excited about the results too. It was an awesome feeling. The nurse afterwords told us that it was very very good for Jess to have responded like this and to keep going with the chemo (like that was an option). She said that they had a lady in remission that quit everything and the outcome was not good.
Jess has two months of intense chemo and then two years of lighter maintenance chemo. They want to make sure that they killed it and it stays gone. She starts chemo again on April 19th. Then 8 weeks later we have to come back to Portland to get her scans done again, to make sure everything is still on track. That is it. I can't thank everyone enough for their love and support!!! I will continue to keep you informed over the next two months and then we will just go from there. Please keep her in your prayers.
Love to all,
Cindi
This is really the best news ever. I was so excited when Mary Ann told me that Jess was cancer free. I know you are relieved and have all that stress and worry taken away. God watches over his people.
