Hi Everyone!!
Well last Tuesday's chemo went well... It was a short day so it wasn't to bad at all. Plus her blood levels were good so that makes me feel better. This was the end of this last prodicol so now we have to make a trip up to Portland. She has a big day of chemo on June 27th with the spinal and the IV and then Portland at the end of July. I put in a call to make the appt and they were going to check with the doctor to see if he wanted to do all of her scans again since it had been a year since the last ones. So I will let you know about that. Now we just have blood every other Monday to keep an eye on her liver.
Well Rob is getting very antsy. He said that they time is going so slow over there. I hate to see him so unhappy.. They still have never given him an exact date on when he is leaving. They aren't letting any of the military off of the base over there anymore because they have been having some problems with the locals so I'll be sure happy when he gets the heck out of there. But hopefully it will be about the 15th or sooner... We will then have a party here for him :)

May 26th
Hi,
Don't know if anyone is reading this anymore but just a quick update...
Jess is still doing the same...she has her good and bad days with the chemo still. Her liver levels have been up and down so they have still been adjusting her chemo levels. Still taking chemo everyday with a extra different kind on Mondays. This Tues in Medford she gets her IV chemo only. She is super excited that she doesn't have the spinal this month! I will be calling the doctor in Portland to set up an appt for July and I'm thinking all the scans will be redone to make sure that everything is going okay still. I think that she looks better all the time though. Her hair is growing good and she has been trimming off all the steroid weight. She still has more to lose but she looks fantastic :)
Rob is a anxious to be home now. He is down to 3 weeks finally. Hopefully he will be back in the states on June 15th. Not sure of the exact day home yet but we are planning a coming home party on the 18th. It is his 25th birthday on the 10th and Pat's 50th on the 19th so we have lots to celebrate! Come on by...Just let me know.

May 11th
Hey Everyone!
Thought about getting on here a few times to do an update and then something would pop up..I swear I have been super busy since we have moved Jess's horses into town. Her place was super muddy and she wanted to get her's ready to show so she took her new horse and her old one into a barn here in town. This way she comes in like every other day to ride when she feels okay..if not I go in and ride or lunge one and then I will work the other.. I can't believe how busy that this has made me...I feel like I have a second job! But she has been having good and bad days like always...especially when she takes her Monday chemo...wow, that one is nasty.. But she had a really good spinal last time so I have to thank everyone for all their prayers and positive energy that they did for her. Our next chemo is May 31st...Jess was upset that it was in the same month but with May having 31 days I think that that is why it has happened... But other than that everything is about the same.. Her hair is getting long so she is super happy about that... She is mad cause it is in the out of control stage that you go through when you are growing your hair long.. lol
Well Rob is counting down the days until he comes home! I think that we are down to 34...He has been having it rough over there mentally so I think that this is good for him that he is almost done... I keep praying for him and sending him positive energy to help him make it. We will have a coming home party so let me know if you would like to help out or come :)

Hi All,
Well we made it through the big day of chemo...All went pretty well for a chemo day! I wrote a note that we were headed out on Facebook and I feel like all my prayer warriors did their job cause Jess feels like that was her best spinal yet and before they had been getting worse and worse so hopefully she still feels good in a couple of days..She felt super tired today but with all that she went through that doesn't surprise me.. Her white blood count was up and her liver count was better so it was a pretty good day... the doctor told us that she was watching her liver closely so that it would still be good after all this chemo is over!. So please keep her in your prayers to keep feeling good and keep her healing and keep that damn cancer away..
Rob wrote to me on Facebook this morning and let me know that he really wanted to video chat tonight about 6 our time...he is really having some homesickness so if you could drop him a note on Facebook to let him know that your thinking of him I would really appreciate it! :) He will hopefully be out of there on June 15th so lets keep our fingers crossed for that! Please also pray to give him the strength to finish out the last month and a half and for safe travels home..

Hi Everyone!
Just wanted to drop a few lines and tell you how the kids are doing... Jess has been having her up and down days...Liver is just always on the verge of acting up.. So her dosage of chemo on Monday has been reduced some. She has been having some nausea and back pain from the spinals... and guess what? We have another big round of chemo this coming Monday :( So we have IV chemo and spinal one this coming Monday...Im really lost on the count of spinals..I know that it is in the high 20's! Im sure that she will then have June off of the spinal and then back to one in July and that month we have to go up to Portland for all the yearly scans I do believe...So I will let you all know how that is going..
Rob is very eager to come home. About a month and a half left!! yay!! :) I have another package to send him this weekend..I was going to send it last weekend but friends of ours (Irvin & Karen) sent him one and so did the base so that was super nice of them! April 21st
Hi Everyone!
Don't know if anyone is reading this anymore but I decided to pop on here and have a little update...
Jess has been feeling a lil down and out..the weather up here has been horrible so I'm not sure if she just needs to get out and get some fresh air or the chemo is bothering her more than normal... I try to talk to her but she is super quiet so I don't know what to do... Ive been riding horses with her a lot now inside so I'm hoping that that will help :) She has still been doing the same chemo everyday and Monday.. We now have our big round again on May 2nd in Medford.. Her back has sure been bothering her lately so I'm really dreading this..thank goodness she has been having her very fav doctor do them so I feel that this really helps her mentally.
Rob has been doing the same..really anxious to get back home.. I keep sending packages for some moral booster :) He is now under 2 months!! He will be home right after his 25th birthday on June 10th!

April 12th
Evening everyone!
Well the last week has kinda been a long one... Jess's back really hurt her and her stomach just kinda felt nauseous a lot.. I don't know how in the heck she is going to do about 5-6 more spinals...The poor thing can hardly walk around as it is... and then We have another at the beginning of May! She had her blood taken yesterday to check for the Monday chemo.. The didn't get back with her until tonight because we found out today that Dr Taylor was out of the office until today.. She only gets to take 30 mg since her liver levels are still running high... So she will take that and usually by Thurs or Friday she will be feeling a bit under the weather... So other than that everything is about the same with her... Rob is still the same too..Not much happening over there and that is a good thing! lol Well I'm off for now. Thanks for checking in. April 5th
Evening everyone!
Well we had a long day yesterday with the all day chemo in Medford... Her white count is down so she needs to stay around healthy people and wash her hands lots.. No wonder why her colds never go away..Also, we almost didn't get the spinal done cause her liver is acting up again.. the poor thing never gets a break.. So the doctor who always does her spinals wanted another blood test to make sure and this time it had to come out of her vein and not her port cause it is more accurate for this test...So that made us an hour and a half later then we should be getting home but that is okay as long as we got it all done..but they only ended up giving her half of her IV chemo because of her liver too. It seems like I major jumped around telling this story but I'm super tired so I hope that you all understand.. lol She sure loves this doctor tho and he is always super kind to her and makes sure that everything goes good for her and that the hospital takes care of her so that makes me feel so much better and Jess has a better attitude going in since she knows that Dr Palmer is in there :) So she is super sore today and her back is a little bruised..She is supposed to be not bending over lots and resting..yeah right! lol Now we have this same thing next month too.
Well Rob called and wanted a video chat so I knew that he must of been homesick. It was a good chat and it was nice that Jon and Jess were here to talk to. We were on the phone for an hour and a half! You know it wouldn't be so bad over there if he was on the day shift and be able to do things.. the night shift sucks.. But he only has a little over two months left so it is getting closer..

Morning Everyone!!
Just enjoying a nice Sunday morning :) We had a birthday party last night for Shane, Me, Jon & Jon's Gma Carol. Our birthday's are the 2nd, 8th, 13th & 14th respectively. It was a fun time and I sure like the get together s with everyone!
Tomorrow is a big chemo day with Jess... We have the IV and the spinal chemo again :( We don't have to be over in Medford until 10:30 tho so that is really nice to be able to sleep in a little for me :) But then it will be a later night...
Rob is doing okay...He is sure happy that it is April..He is on the downhill side and he said not soon enough... lol I'm continuing to send him packages every 2-3 weeks to keep him getting stuff from home.

March 27th
Hi All!
Well thank the Lord that Jess's tests came out negative on her chest...I was reading up on it and Lymphoma most of the time starts in the chest area and with a cough so I was so happy to have everything come back normal and them just thinking that her cold is lingering with all the yucky stuff going around and her low resistance. If not our butts would of been up at OHSU! Fun! Her liver levels were low so she is thinking that is whats been causing her nausea lately..they cut down on her Monday chemo tho to compensate. So she will go in again tomorrow to check it. Then next Monday the 4th is her big round of chemo again..I swear every time I think that we are down to once every 3 months they tell us we just aren't there yet.. So I will take her next Monday for her IV and spinal chemo.. It just makes me sick to take her cause I know it hurts so bad..Hopefully one day this will all just be a bad dream..dang it..
I don't have anything new to report for Rob.. Not much is happening over there so this is a good thing.. :) He should be home about June 15th we hope! Just after his 25th birthday :)

March 23rd
Hello All,
Just got back from Medford. Jess still had that horrible cough after this round of medicine so the doctor wanted us to go over for a CT scan of her chest and bunch of blood tests.. Found out so far that her liver is acting up again so they cut her back on her chemo for a round and her scan we won't know about until later today or tomorrow as they had to send it across to the hospital for a reading. Not sure what they are looking for but they said that we might have to go up to OHSU to meet with a pulmonary specialist. I brought up that there was lots of them in Oregon closer but they said no way... With Jess and what she has been through that they would only send her to the best.. So we shall see... It was an early and tiring trip..
Rob is doing good it seems..His hand is healing and he has a good mind set. I know that he is more than ready to come home but he knows that he is a little over half way done so I think that is good for him mentally. I'm going to get him another pkg ready to go since I feel that it is important for him. Well I'm off for now. Please keep Rob & Jess in your prayers and thanks for checking in. Love to all, Cindi

March 19th
Hi Everyone!
Everything is about the same.. Jess was feeling a bit under the weather tho yesterday and we figured out the time and it is from her Monday chemo pills..they seem to take three days to kick in and bother her. She was laying on the couch all day and she even had to take anti nausea pills too and she doesn't have to do that very often. So I haven't heard from her yet today so hopefully all is well. She is getting sick of being in the house a lot but aren't we all.. lol She is getting her horses moved to a barn close to me to board for a little while.. I think that it will be really good for her. She won't have to worry about them outside in the mud and she will be able to ride everyday if she wants. Very good mental stuff I feel.
Rob is about the same too. Very happy that he just passed his half way point. Very bored over there so I sent some fun books with games in them for him to do. Not sure if he will like them but hopefully he will. Also sent some healthy snacks for him. Would sure like it if some of my friends and family could just send him a card or note to let him know that we are thinking of him over here.

Sorry I haven't been on lately...Time just gets away from me.. but everything has been going better..Jess has been getting over her sickness and her last Monday chemo...It seemed to really upset her stomach this time so I'm not sure what was up with that. But she has been riding her horse a lot more and I think that it helps because I'm riding now with her which is so good for both of us :) She got her hair cut and dyed with bright red in it and it looks so cute on her..and it also gave her a little pick me up so that is always helpful!
Rob is on his half way mark today...His hand is still yukky so I told him that he needs to go back to the doctor and have it rechecked.. It was so cool because he finally got the web cam that Jess & Jon got him for Christmas before he left hooked up so we actually got to talk to him face to face!! It made me bawl! Morning All,
Don't know if this is appropiate but I want to mention a special day in my heart..
Yesterday would of been my nephew Bobby's birthday...and it just makes me realize how precious life is...I miss him so much and I remember all the good times we had together as he was growing up...I was the 4H Aunt! lol :) So please think of my sister and her family <3
Rob has been having a little homesick issue I feel talking to him and I can only imagine how he feels over there away from everyone. They can't leave the base and it is just the same old thing day after day. But he is almost half way done tho so that is awesome. If anyone has time please drop him a letter, card, package please. Just to let him know that we are thinking of him over here and give him a little taste of home. I will put his address on here again.
Jess is feeling a lot better..Still has a lil cough/cold but it sure has improved with the medicine! So I'm very happy to report that :) We head over for chemo Monday morn...I need to look at her papers but I think that this is just her IV chemo...I don't think that we have a spinal again until the beginning of April...So hopefully it is an easy day for her. Don't know if this is appropiate but I want to mention a special day in my heart..
Yesterday would of been my nephew Bobby's birthday...and it just makes me realize how precious life is...I miss him so much and I remember all the good times we had together as he was growing up...I was the 4H Aunt! lol :) So please think of my sister and her family <3
Rob has been having a little homesick issue I feel talking to him and I can only imagine how he feels over there away from everyone. They can't leave the base and it is just the same old thing day after day. But he is almost half way done tho so that is awesome. If anyone has time please drop him a letter, card, package please. Just to let him know that we are thinking of him over here and give him a little taste of home. I will put his address on here again.
Jess is feeling a lot better..Still has a lil cough/cold but it sure has improved with the medicine! So I'm very happy to report that :) We head over for chemo Monday morn...I need to look at her papers but I think that this is just her IV chemo...I don't think that we have a spinal again until the beginning of April...So hopefully it is an easy day for her. March 1st
Evening Everyone!
Just a quick note to let you all know how everything is going... Rob is still the same..Doing pretty good now that his hand is feeling a lot better. It was a scary ordeal for me over here I'll tell you that.. Especially since they weren't sure how he had gotten it in his hand...But everything is good now so I'm happy :) I'm also getting him another box of stuff ready to go over there...he likes getting stuff and he shares it with some of the other guys so I will try to do it every 3 weeks or so since that is how long it takes to get over there.
Jess is doing a lot better with her cough/cold and I'm very very pleased with that!! She got her Z pack antibiotics and a prescription cough medicine which is helping her sleep at night. So that is really good news! plus her blood test came back good on her liver yesterday so she is taking her extra chemo pill tonight so hopefully we are getting her back on track with everything. We have her chemo over in Medford next Monday..Wow, does time fly. Seems like she just had it. Well I'm off for now. Thanks for checking in. Please keep the kids in your prayers. Feb 25th
Evening All!
Sitting at the computer freezing to death! lol Pat turned down the heater for the night and it is like 15 degrees outside and the wind is blowing..It is supposed to get down to 0 tonight so it will be a cold one! Brrrr.... Rob said that the weather over there is still colder then here and he said that it is miserable... Well I got to chat with Rob for about 15 mins on a chat so it was nice..We usually just write letters so it was kinda neat to see his answers pop right back up at me :) :) He said that he finally got my one package with his books and special snacks that I sent..He said that they were yummy! lol We even sent some fresh albacore tuna from the coast over there. He said that he didn't think that it was possible but the food has gotten worse..I just can't believe that..I told him that I would send him special stuff to eat but he said that maybe this was good cause he has lost weight and trimmed down.. Can't wait to see him in June! lol He said that his hand was feeling lots better with all the antibiotics that they are having him take so that made me feel a lot more at ease! :)
I decided to call the doctor myself on Jess. This was really driving me up the wall and getting me major concerned... I don't care how much a doctor cares for you or means all the best in the world they are still human and usually are super busy so I felt that I needed to call and give a push! Good thing that I did cause they were like..hmmmm.... another nurse took all this info and was supposed to confer with the doctor and then something happened and it never got done.. So Kelly (one of our fav nurses) answered the phone and was very concerned and took all the info and asked all kinds of questions and took it to the doctor. Within an hour I had 2 prescriptions over here in Klamath all lined up.. I called Jess and she was very relieved to hear this. The poor thing is exhausted from all of this. So hopefully in a few days I will have some good news to report! Well I'm off for now. Please keep the kids in your prayers. Thanks for checking in and love to all, Cindi

Feb 22nd
Evening Everyone!
Well I really don't know what to do with Jess anymore..this cough/cold is getting out of control...It has been over 3 months and she is having a heck of a time.. She is now sleeping on the couch because she is keeping Jon up too. I told her that I was going to call the doctor tomorrow but she said that they already called to check up on her so that is good to hear. I'm wondering about a prescription cough medicine or something I don't know..I will let you all know what the doctor has to say. Her liver was good enough for her to take her extra Monday chemo pill though..
Rob got ahold of me via facebook which then sends it to my phone today when I was at work...I guess that his nail or finger got a cut and then picked up some sort of infection...It was getting pretty bad and painful when he finally went to the doctor today and they said it was pretty bad and the infection was spreading through his hand so he is on a heavy antibiotic every 8 hours for 7 days straight.. I swear my children...No wonder Ive had a super bad headache all day.. worry worry worry! Well I'm off for now. I will let you all know how they are doing. Please keep them both in your prayers. Feb 20th
Evening All!!
Not much to report but I just wanted you all to know that everything is about the same.. Jess picked herself up some different cold/cough medicine so hopefully that will help..It sure is a pain..Keeps her and Jon up a lot at night. That is so hard on everyone when you don't get your hours of sleep in... Tomorrow she has to come in for her Monday blood test...I noticed this weekend that her eyes were yellow tinted so hopefully her liver isn't to bad...I will let you all know.. If her blood is okay then she will take her Monday chemo pills. We don't have her next chemo over in Medford until March 7. I will be taking her over there this time for sure..
Rob seems to be the same. He finally got my one package which made him happy but it wasn't the one with the books so he is hoping that that one comes in soon too. I have another package sitting on the table that I'm slowly filling up with his favorite stuff. I hope to get it mailed off this week.

Feb 17th
Just a quick note to let you all know that everything is the same... Not much to report.. Jess still has her congestion but it seems a little better..and Rob is going to work and working out and enjoying his one day off a week..lol He finally got one of my packages though so he was happy but it wasn't the one with his books that he really wanted in it so hopefully in a couple of days he will get that one...I'm getting another package ready to go since it takes almost three weeks for it to get over there so I'm gathering up books, magazines and more snacks :) Jess has been trying to get riding her horses again though so I think that it is really good for her. I'm trying to get her to ride at least 3-4 days a week...it is so good for her physically and mentally...plus her horses need it! lol Well I'm off for now. Thanks for checking in. Feb 14th
Hi Everyone!!
Happy Valentines Day!!!! Hope that everyone had a good day and or evening!
Jess is feeling better it seems...the allergy medicine does seem to be helping some and she seems to be getting stronger from the cold.. It makes me happy to see this. Wow, she can still get me pretty worried... She went in today for her Monday blood test to see if she can take her other chemo pill tonight. I haven't talked to her so I'm not sure if everything is okay or not. The last few times she has been okay so I'm sure that she will be this time too. She sure had a rough time with her last spinal last Monday..She hurt all of last week. Now that can really bug me... I know that I have said it before but you know how you feel when your child is hurting and all that she has gone through mentally and physically. It has been a long year...
Rob called last night. He seems to be doing pretty good. It has been two months already! He is working out for a good hour at least 4-5 times a week. He told Shane that he has lost some weight and is getting into shape. He only has his two beers a week on his day off so I'm sure that that has helped too! I had a feeling that this would be good for him to do..He needed to get out of here but I sure do miss him! Well I'm off for now. Please keep them both in your prayers. Feb 11th
Mornin Everyone!
Well Jess has been having a rough with this last spinal...it was fine during the procedure (she thought) but now very painful... She had her very favorite doctor but she said that he had a little problem so he gave her another couple of pain shots to make sure but like I said she thought that everything felt the same but she flinched and he said that that was unacceptable..Sooo..now her back is super sore so hopefully we can get her through that. Other than that the IV chemo went okay and even though she is still coughing bad the doctor still thinks that it is allergies and has her on medicine for that.. So her next chemo will be on March 7..She has the 3 months of this protocol still and then we go to the once every 3 months for the spinal and she said that the Medford doctor said Feb of 2012! So that is way better to hear..So only 1 year left...(she had received the new papers from Portland) So Jess was way happy to hear this. I will confirm this when I go the next time to chemo. So I will let you all know on that.
Rob is still doing the same...Not much can change over there unless there is excitement which I'm glad to say that there isn't! It has been 2 months this weekend so only 4 more left!! :) I try to send him pkgs every 3 weeks so if anyone wants to contribute magazines, snacks or books let me know...or you can send it yourself if you would like to do that. Morning All!!
Well Jess had the big chemo day yesterday...I really don't know all the little details because I didn't get to go..It was a good thing that Jess got her wires crossed and Jon had the day off to because I ended up with this horrible cough/cold/sore throat and figured that I really couldn't be around chemo patients like this..So I stayed home and just Jon went. She tried to text me when she could and all I basically got that everything went smoothly. When I talk to her today or tomorrow I will get all the little details. She was supposed to talk to the doctor about her still having this horrible cold so hopefully they got something figured out with that. I will let you all know when I find out.
Rob is still doing the same. Not much has changed which is a good thing! lol He said that it warmed up for a little bit over there so that is good. I sent him another package with books and snacks for him to share so hopefully he gets that soon. Well I'm off for now. Please keep them both in your prayers. Love to all, Cindi

Hi All!!
First of all I would like to thank Kim Otto for the wonderful posts/comments :) They are very uplifting and make me smile when I read them!
Jess of course is still doing the same...The doctors in Medford wanted her to go over for an xray but she didn't want to go all the way over there twice when we have to go over on Monday anyways... So they put her on some allergy medicine hoping that maybe that might be one of the problems but it really hasn't seemed to help any...So we will see what they have to say on Monday when we go over there..
Rob is doing the same. He said that he found a book over there that he really enjoyed reading so he wanted to see if I can find anymore like it to send to him over there. I'm also going to send him so more snacks to go along with them... The authors last name is Johnstone.. Well anyways I'm off for now. Thanks so much for checking in. Well I ended up calling the doctor today for Jess's cough/cold.. Jess had come to my work today and even my co-workers even mentioned how bad they thought Jess sounded after she left to go back home so that got me worried and I gave the doctor a jingle..I figured that I would tell them what was up and I could leave it in their hands if they thought that we should do something. I told them to also call Jess so that she could tell them her symptoms better...they were asking so many specifics. Well she called me about an hour later and they wanted her to go over to Medford tomorrow for a chest X-ray and then the next day for a doctor visit! I swear that they think we live 15 mins away! So the last that I heard Jess said them that they could set it all up here and then if it was bad we could go over earlier than next Monday when she has chemo/spinal... But I haven't heard anything as of yet so I'm not sure what is going on yet..So I will let you all know what I hear.. Well I'm off for now. Please keep Jess and Rob in your prayers.. Jan 28th
Hi Everyone!!
Just want you all to know that nothing has changed...Jess is still feeling the same and Rob is doing the same at the base. I was hoping that Jess would get over her cold or I was wondering if it is just allergies of some sort...I'm not really sure. But she will have her blood done on Monday morning again so we will see if anything pops up. Rob said that it is just still cold there and he just works... I just got another package organized to send over there to him. Shane was supposed to mail it today but he forgot so I will get it done either tomorrow or Monday. Jan 25th
Evening all!
Well Jess seems to be feeling better... she doesn't sound it but how she is acting I think that she has more energy. She went in on Monday for her blood test so she can see if her liver was okay to take her extra chemo pill that night and no call came from the doctor so we figured that everything was a go. She usually feels pretty blah for a few days after taking it but she hasn't said anything about it yet so I'm crossing my fingers and saying my prayers that she will do okay this week. It is horrible to see your child feeling like this all of the time. I will be taking her on the 7th for her next round of big chemo.... I seriously don't like to take her cause I hate to see her go through it but you all understand how it is....So I will let you all know how the next few days go.
Rob called last night..He said that it is still bitterly cold there and everything is about the same..he is just working and sleeping basically.. With the twelve hour days it is really hard to do anything else. He said that he is though enjoying his two beers on his day off though so that is good. I told him to get us some more pictures to look at over there and I got a no comment.. lol He told me that he got the one package and he took a couple of things for himself but he took the bulk of it to the marines liaison office where they were going to distribute it out. All is about the same..Jess is still feeling pretty yucky with a horrible cough.. Don't know what I'm going to do with her.. The doctors pretty much say that she has to get over it herself unless we get some major congestion or fever..Over the counter medicines just don't seem to work on her..I can only imagine with what her body has seen so far... She will get her blood checked on Monday so I will let you all know if we hear anything..
Rob tried calling me last night but I was working at the basketball games and couldn't hear him so that was a bummer. I came home and wrote him on the computer. If any of you are on Facebook you can write to him on there too. I think that he told me that he finally got my one package that I sent him!! Yay!! Jan 20th
Evening Everyone!
Hope that all is well with everyone! Jess is still sick it seems..all stuffed up and coughing still. Really don't know what to do with her. She has already been through a round of antibiotics and she takes antibiotics daily anyways! I think that her poor body just doesn't feel those at all and her resistance is always on the lower end because of her white cells. Sooo... idk when she will get rid of it. The doctor isn't concerned unless she gets congestion in her chest or a fever...as you all know if she gets over a 100.3 they like freak out...So I got her some vitamins to hopefully help out. I will let you all know how she is doing.
Rob is doing good...really sick of the cold tho over there. One of his big packages that I sent over there has never made it so I'm pretty bummed about that. I will get some more stuff bought and get it together to mail. He has been over there a lil over a month! He says that the time seems to be going quickly since all he really does is sleep and work.. lol Well I'm off for now. Thanks so much for checking in. Jan 16th
Hello All,
Well Jess and Jon got back from Portland today..she was super tired but we feel like the trip went well. Hopefully when the new protocol starts it won't be so intense. We won't see it for sure until the next chemo/spinal on Feb 7th.. It would be nice to finally only have a spinal once every three months..hopefully the IV chemo will be spread out like that too. So I will let you know if I hear anything new..
Rob called tonight. It was really good to hear his voice. He hadn't called in awhile but I talk to him through facebook messages about every other day. I found out that his one pkg never made it there so that really upset me. I had his magazines and lots of food that he liked in there. I don't know what happened to it since he got the one. So I'm going to go buy some more stuff and get it mailed as soon as I can. He said that it is colder than heck there and dark all the time for him it seems but he is getting a good schedule down with going to the gym with some guys that he works with. Jan 13th
Hey Everyone!
Jess & Jon are up in Portland...Seen the doctor early this evening..He said that she is doing good and her liver is acting up because the chemo is working and they will adjust it up and down to compensate. He was wondering where we were since we always have a posse when we go up there.. lol I thought that that was nice of him to ask :) She has to have chemo tho until July of 2012 so that is kinda a downer to hear... I told her tho that we can do it!!!! Lots of prayers and positive thoughts to give her strength and to keep her well... With how bad the cancer was they have to do this to make sure to keep it away.. He wants to see her in another 6 months and if everything is still going good he will then want her up there in another year.. So overall this is good and she is in remission so that is amazing!! Well I'm off for now. Thanks so much for checking in. Please keep the kids in your prayers. Love to all, Cindi

Kinda a weird date or maybe lucky date today? 1-11-11 wow.. Time is flying!
Well yesterday was a long day.. I just hate them..Not because of me but for all Jess is going through still. We had blood at the cancer center, then spinal at the hospital and then back to the cancer center for doctor visit and IV chemo. We got home about 12 hrs later. She is just so super tired..physically and major mentally. Her and Jon will head up to Portland for her Thurs doctor visit. It will be a long week for her with that going on also. It always takes her about a week to recover from her monthly visit to Medford.
Rob is doing a little better now. I'm so happy to hear. Sounds like he is making some new friends finally. Always takes him a little bit to do that. Not like me..Miss Yakker! lol He said that it is super cold over there..It doesn't help that he never sees the sun with his hours. He posted some pictures from over there so it was cool to see. Jan 9th
Morning Everyone!
It is a chilly 12 degrees here this morn! Wow how cold it has been lately! Talked to Rob last night. He said that he is sick of the cold over there. Single digits all the time during the day. He was excited to get up a little early one day and he actually seen the sun for the first time in a long time since being over there. He said that he is sick of the food. Not real great over there. He was really happy to get a pkg from me. It took like two weeks to get there so if you would like to send him something please make it air tight or like in ziploc bags. I think that it makes me happy to get stuff from home. I sent food, magazines and of course a couple of notes :)
Well Jess has a big round of chemo tomorrow. We are leaving here about 6:30 am to head to Medford. She has spinal chemo and then IV chemo. I'm anxious to talk to the doctor because she just hasn't been feeling good at all lately. Very nauseous and sick. Don't know if it is the liver or what.. Then her and Jon will head to Portland for appts on Thurs. Hopefully the weather stays okay for their big drive up there. Please keep the kids in your prayers. Thanks for checking in. Evening All!
Well talked to Rob a little online tonight. He seems to be doing a lot better. It is so good for me to hear this....He said that he is getting his sleep schedule finally down and getting used to his hours even though he is super exhausted after working six twelve hour days.. He is also trying to work out every morning when he gets off to stay in shape. The weather over there is really cold right now to so I'm sure that doesn't help with being tired. I know if I get cold it always makes me tired...
Jess got her blood drawn on Monday and she got the A okay to take her extra chemo. Her poor liver is just working its butt off! :) She still is feeling a little under the weather with her cold though so that is a pain.. We have a big chemo day coming up next Monday and then up to Portland on Thurs so next week is a big one. Well I'm off for now so please keep the kids in your prayers and thanks so much for checking in. Love to all, Cindi

Jan 2nd 2011!
Wow, the time has flown...can't believe it is 2011 already!!
Just a quick note to let you know that all is still the same. Nothing new to report. Jess will come in to the cancer center tomorrow and get her blood drawn to make sure that she can take that extra chemo tomorrow night. I'm also going to call Portland when I get home from work to make sure about her appt up there next week. I just want to get everything all confirmed.. So that is about it. I will let you all know if I hear anything. I hope that everyone had a good New Years Eve and a good couple of days into the New Year. We didn't do much..just hung out around here with the family :) I'm praying for an amazing New Year!! Please keep my kids in your prayers and thanks for checking up on them. Love to all, Cindi
